On Membership Application

Q: Can I use the application form printed from the website?
A: Yes, you can. Please go to the www.ntuc.org.sg, website, look for the "Membership" icon, click "Membership Application" to download the relevant forms and mail it to accordingly.

Q: Will I receive any notification if my application is being accepted?
A:Yes, you will receive a Temporary Pass and a GB Q&A sheet from us.

Q: If my husband signs up as a GB member at the Customer Service Centre, can I at the same time sign up as a spouse (AB) member?
A: Yes, you can sign up as our Associate Branch (AB) member. All you need to do is to produce your CPF statement, Marriage Certificate and a passport size colour photograph.

Q: Will I be informed for the next renewal year?
A: Yes, if you pay the whole subscription upfront. No, if you pay by GIRO as your membership will be renewed automatically.

Q: Why do I need to give 6months termination notice?
A: The notice period is required under the AUSBE’s Constitution. The reason is for us to cover for adminstration cost.

Q: What should I do if my card is damaged, lost or stolen?
A: You should report loss, damaged or stolen to the NTUC Customer Service Centre. You may download and complete a card Replacement Form from http://www.ntuc.org.sg/eservices_linkcard_replacement.asp and send it to:

Q: Do I need to return Link card if I were to terminate my membership?
A: If you are not an Income policyholder, Fairprice/Healthcare shareholder, or are currently holding a Linkcard with ATM facilities, you have to surrender your card upon termination of your membership. You need to mail your Linkcard back to us.

On Membership Subscription

Q: Can I pay cash/cheque for the outstanding subscription if my GIRO deduction was unsuccessful for the past 2 to 3 months instead of putting the cash in my savings account?
A: Yes. However, as a precaution, we advise you to pay upfront all the way till your membership anniversary month to prevent any double deduction.

 

On Membership Benefits

Q: If I sign up as a member, will I be entitled to enjoy union member's rate for courses and chalets booking?
A: Yes, if you show your Temporary Pass upon course registration and chalet booking.

Q: Can my friend register for SDD courses on my behalf?
A: No, unless the application form has been completed and signed by you. Please ask your friend to bring along your Linkcard if that is the case.


Q: Where do I go to redeem the Link Points items?
A: You can go to all participating Merchants to redeem different items (refer to brochures for details).

Q: When is the last date for redemption? If I didn't redeem after the deadline, will my LinkPoints be forfeited?
A: The last day of redemption is by 31 March every year. Your LinkPoints will be forfeited if you did not do so.
