Members' Benefits

These are financial assistance schemes provide to members in times of need. Cash awards are made to members and their families, permanent disablement and/or hospitalisation suffered by the accident occurs during or outside working hours. All members with at least one year membership and who are not in arrears in subscription payments are eligible to apply for benefits under the schemes.

CASE Membership

AUSBE has recently joined the Consumer Association of Singapore (CASE) for the benefits of its members.  Members will benefit on the following:

  1. Waiver of membership fees ($25/- per year) for filing a case with
    complimentary advice and consultation.

  2. Subsidised rates or free entry to seminars, events and forums.

  3. Subsidised rate to our quarterly magazine, The consumer ($10/- per year UP: $18/-).

  4. Access to fortnightly e-newsletter; C@SEBites

WELFARE RELIEF SCHEMES: DEATH/DISABILITY BENEFITS

Welfare Relief Scheme I (Death Of Member's Parent/Child)

Eligibility (Limited to 2 claims each) Benefit Payable
Death of Parents $150
Death of Children $75

Welfare Relief Scheme II (Death of Member)

Period of Membership Benefit Payable
1 or more years but less than 10 years $1000
10 or more years $1500

Welfare Scheme III (Hospitalisation Benefit Claim Form)

  • Cash benefit of $30 per day for the first ten days member is hospitalised.

  • Cash benefit of $40 per day from the 11th day of hospitalisation, up to a maximum of 52 weeks.

  • Additional cash benefit of $20,000 if members suffers permanent disablement or loss of life as a result of accident.

  • To be eligible, members have to pay a monthly levy of $2, in addition to the monthly subscription.

NOTE: Claims are to be made within 2 mths.


Traditional Chinese Medicine

From 1 January 2007, members who visit any registered Traditional Chinese Medicine ("TCM") practitioner in Singapore for treatment due to accident may claim reimbursement of up to $25 per visit.

Claims for reimbursement is capped at maximum of 3 visit in a policy year.

Members can check if their doctor is a registered TCM practitioner at the website: http://tcmpb.gov.sg/tcm/.

Retirement Gift

AUSBE will be giving out retirement gift for members who have reached the compulsory retirement age.
